I guess if I'm going to tell you about Terran school, I need to tell you about my Terran friends.
We met on the fifth day of school. It was lunch. I was standing in the middle of the cafeteria, wondering why Terrans always have to be so loud, when two guys shoved past me, knocking me in to another girl.
"I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, noticing how she'd almost lost her lunch (literally). The girl had long blonde hair and the biggest blue eyes I'd ever seen.
She laughed. "No worries, I'm still not used to this place either."
I turned to go, but before I could she grabbed my shoulder. "Hey, do you want to sit with my cousin and I? You look lost."
"That would be great," I sighed with relief.
She nodded. "Right. Follow me."
We sat down at a table with a view of a green-space. A boy was already there, reading a book. "Thomas," the girl stated, but he didn't look up. "Thomas!" the girl yelled, slamming her hand down by his book.
"Ah! Oh, hi Lex. What's your name?" he asked, peering at me. He had the same eyes as the girl, but they were behind thin glasses.
"Um, Sora."
"That's pretty!" the girl exclaimed.
The boy-Thomas?-rolled his eyes at her. "Did you seriously forget to ask somebody their name again?"
She blushed. "Yes," she sighed and, turning towards me, smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you Sora. I'm Alexa, and this is my cousin Thomas."
And then we talked for the rest of lunch. It was nice...and they invited me to sit with them tomorrow! I have Terran friends now...Joanne was proud of me when I told her (so she says).
Alexa is kinda crazy. She's not afraid to talk or sing really loud...and she has an opinion on everyone.
Thomas is her complete opposite. He has brown hair, and glasses, and he's really smart. He takes-what's it called?-senior-level classes. And he's addicted to candy. Alexa tells me he goes through a pack of gum a week.
That's it for right now, I guess. Oh! I forgot to tell you about the football game! That can be next week's post. It was pretty nimbus...

School
Okay:
I will admit this:
Terran school is not TOTALLY terrible.
Buuut it's way different from Fed school.
Like, I never took anything like an "art" class on Aria. Sure, we had garmentation (what I guess you guys would call tailoring), but that was about it. There was no need for art. We had subjects that were more practical, like if you wanted to be a doctor, farmer, or (like me) a mechanic. And it NEVER started at 6 am.
(Maybe I'm not being fair. School actually doesn't start at 6, that's just when I have to wake up. But still. I hate it.)
And it wasn't super-crowded. The average size of a graduating class on Aria was, like, 15. Here, the lunchrooms have so many bodies I feel like-what's the fish metaphor Terrans use all the time? "Packed like sardines"? Yeah, that's it.
Oh, and we didn't sit for SEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT which, now that I think about it, is probably due to the fact we have less classes on Aria. The last time I was living on Aria, my classes' order was:
-math
-elemental science (Terran 'meteorology')
-Terran geography
-Arian history
-airship mechanics
5 hours. And that's it.
Buuut there are some things that I will (begrudgingly) admit are okay about school.
1. Math down here is the same as on Aria. (Thank venti)
2. These 'football' games you have sound similar to jubies the rich kids would throw while their parents were off plat. (I'm going to one with Thomas and Alexa tomorrow.)
3. Terran history is pretty cool, actually.
That's it for right now...see you soon. I have to sleep soon or I might get in trouble. Joanna doesn't let me be on computer this late! Bye!

Prologue
I hate it here.
I'm stuck on this hot, boring slab of rock simply because I joined a club whose goal was to overthrow our "glorious" ruler, Lin the Lovable. Lin is in fact a complete liar, but did anyone listen to us when we said she was secretly printing counterfeit money in an attempt to steal the whole Federation's fortunes and live rich-beyond-belief on Terra? No! It's a wonder I haven't heard news of some mysteriously wealthy lady building a palace of opal and pearl in the middle of the Gaul countryside yet!
Oh, have I not introduced myself?
Excuse my manners, the Terrans' lack of them must be rubbing off on me. My name is Sora June Potts. I am fifteen, or at least I will be in, you know, June. I am a former Obstacle Course Racer, current student on Terra, and ex-citizen of the Aerial Federation. My history comes later, because right now we, reader, have to go to school.
